About This Course

IT Support: Cloud Fundamentals is designed to introduce the core cloud concepts to IT Support learners. This course provides an historical perspective of how IT has evolved to the point where it is now using cloud solutions. The course examines the different types of cloud solutions that are available, as well as the basics of cloud services, cloud usage models, and cloud security. The course concludes with an introduction to Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Office 365.

He is responsible for managing the Office 365, Exchange, Lync, SharePoint, Office and Dynamics certification portfolios. Prior to this Martin was a consultant with Microsoft Consulting Services (MCS) responsible for architecting and deploying Microsoft technologies at medium to large customers around the world.

About This Course

This course provides fundamental level knowledge about Microsoft Azure. It is intended for people who are looking to learn about what Microsoft Azure is, how it works, what are the services it provides and how best you can leverage them.

You will learn about Azure virtual machines and how to deploy Windows or Linux virtual machines. You will learn about Azure Networking and how to create secure networks that you can connect in a range of situations. You will learn about the different types of Azure Storage and how to create, manage and secure that storage. You will learn about Azure Identity services with Azure Active Directory, and Azure AD Connect. You will also learn how to provide secure identity and access management solutions for your organization.

Requirements

  • General understanding of cloud computing models, authentication methods, and Active Directory.
  • Basic proficiency in PowerShell and command line interface scripting.
